Doetail (Female Bucktail)
As a great alternativ to the wellkown and sometimes rare bucktail, we offer you the Doetails, which are the tails of the female white tailed deer. The characteristics of the the hair are the same like at the Bucktails. The tails are just a little bit smaller and the hair is a little finer. You can use them as under wing material for pike flies and bigger streamers or salmon flies. Also a good choice for tying tropic saltwater flies and sea trout flies for the coast.

Calf Tail
The hair of the calf tail is used for many traditional flies. Even when tying many parachute patterns, it is essential. Salmon fly-tyers appreciate it as do saltwater fly-fishermen who use it particularly in the production of Bonefish flies. Its fine texturing makes it very easy to process. Compared to the bucktail, the calf tail is more stiff and wavy, but give your patterns a realistic look and provide them a nice play in the water.Suited for dry flies, steelhead, salmon, bonefish and saltwater flies, the calf tail is a real "must have" for every fly tyer.

“CDC Standard” can be used in a wide variety of applications, from the smallest, most delicate dry fly to the largest mayfly. From the freshwater shrimp to the tempting nymph, right up to the streamer, sea trout fly and even the salmon fly. The “CDC Standard” always fits the bill. As a matter of principle, SWISSCDC only offers duck CDCs (Cul de Canard) taken from winter feathers. They made this decision on the basis of the significantly better quality. Ducks breed less in the winter, which means that the appearance of the feathers is considerably better. In the warmer seasons, the breeding ducks are subjected to heat and even greater burdens. This has a particularly negative effect on the quality of the feathers.
