With SAGEs new R8 graphite, adding 25% more strength-per-weight was the easy part—a simple function of material advancement—but one that also increased the fight in the rod even down to our six-weight. SAGE increased the pure pulling power without the need to add more material, fillers or reinforcement. It has a fantastic movement in the water and entices not only sea trout in cold waters, but also an array of warm salt water species.

Fyggi Brown

The Fyggi is a Gammarus or Shrimp imitation. The most important seatrout food year around. The designer, Claus Eriksen likes to fish the Fyggi high in the water on a long 3x fluorocarbon leader. It is an especially good sea trout fly on quiet days where sea trout are sitting near the surface. A great sea trout pattern.

Oeland Shrimp (grey)

This sea trout fly is probably one of the best known of all. Morten Oeland developed this fly several years ago and many other binders have taken this pattern as a model. The original is tied with Spey panting. Due to the scarcity of these panthers, these patterns were tied with marabou substitutes.
