Galloup's Fish Feathers – Printed Schlappen Feathers for Streamer Tying
Galloup's Fish Feathers were developed by renowned American streamer expert Kelly Galloup. These premium printed schlappen feathers are an excellent fly tying material for modern streamers, realistic baitfish patterns and large predator flies.
The soft, flexible feather fibres move naturally in the water, even in gentle currents. The printed markings create additional contrast and offer attractive colour combinations for a wide variety of streamer patterns.
Available in Four Distinctive Colours
- Grizzled Red/Black: Bold red and black markings for high-contrast pike streamers and large attractor patterns. Ideal for striking colour combinations.
- Grizzled Chartreuse Black: Bright chartreuse with black markings. Excellent for highly visible pike streamers and fishing in reduced underwater visibility.
- Buttery Brown: Warm, natural brown tones for subtle baitfish imitations. A great choice for trout streamers, huchen flies and natural baitfish patterns.
- Juvy Rainbow: A colour pattern inspired by juvenile rainbow trout. Perfect for realistic trout imitations and large pike or huchen streamers.
Fly Tying Applications
Galloup's Fish Feathers are particularly suitable for Deceiver patterns, articulated streamers, pike flies and huchen streamers. They can be tied in as mobile tails, wings or lateral accents. Combined with bucktail, flash materials and synthetic fibres, they help create full-bodied streamers with lifelike movement.
