Schlappen
Schlappen feathers are a versatile fly-tying material for tyers who value movement, structure, and creative freedom. With their balanced length and suitable stiffness, these feathers can be used for a wide variety of patterns—from classic streamers and bugger flies to effective wet flies and modern custom designs. Thanks to their fine fiber structure, Schlappen feathers are easy to handle at the tying bench. The soft barbs create an attractive, lifelike motion in the water, while the stable quill allows for controlled wrapping and clean fly profiles. This combination makes the material suitable for both expressive and precisely shaped patterns.Another key advantage is the high material yield. One pack of Schlappen feathers allows you to tie many flies in different sizes, making it an efficient choice for tyers who regularly restock their fly boxes or experiment with new patterns. The natural color tones blend seamlessly into a wide range of designs and give finished flies a realistic, convincing appearance.Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fly tyer, Schlappen feathers provide reliable quality, versatility, and professional results for your fly-tying projects.
Calf Tail
Dense and stiff, great for posts and tails. The hair of the calf tail is used for many traditional flies. Even when tying many parachute patterns, it is essential. Salmon fly-tyers appreciate it, as do saltwater fly-fishermen who use it particularly in the production of Bonefish flies. It's fine texturing makes it very easy to process. Compared to the bucktail, the calf tail is more stiff and wavy, but give your patterns a realistic look and provide them a nice play in the water. Calf tail can be used for parachute posts of dry flies, wings of steelhead flies and is commonly used on bonefish flies. Well known patterns using calf tail: Crazy Charly, Gotchas, Clouser Minnow, Mickey Finn, Royal Wulff

Partridge Skins
Natural Partridge Skin – Premium Feathers for Fly TyingA natural partridge skin is one of the classic fly tying materials for traditional and modern fly patterns. The soft, finely mottled partridge feathers are especially suitable for tying wet flies, soft hackles, nymphs and traditional spider patterns. The natural grey, brown and beige markings create subtle, lifelike patterns. Underwater, the soft feather fibres respond to even gentle currents, imitating the movement of aquatic insect legs. These characteristics make partridge feathers particularly effective for trout and grayling flies. One Complete Skin – A Wide Selection of FeathersUnlike loose feathers, a complete partridge skin offers a wide range of feather sizes, shapes and natural colour variations. You can select exactly the right feather directly from the skin to match your hook size and fly pattern.Smaller feathers are excellent for delicate wet flies and nymphs, while larger feathers can be used for soft-hackle collars, wings and larger fly patterns. Keeping the feathers on the skin also makes them easier to organize at your fly tying bench.Fly Tying ApplicationsSoft-Hackle Flies: Soft, mobile hackles that move naturally underwater.Spider Patterns: Perfect for traditional wet flies such as Partridge & Orange and Partridge & Yellow.Nymphs: Natural-looking legs, tails and thorax hackles.Wet Flies: Finely mottled hackles and wings for classic patterns.Dry Flies and Small Streamers: Suitable for selected wing, tail and accent applications.Fly Tying TipWhen tying traditional soft-hackle flies, less is often more. Choose a feather that matches your hook size and use just a few turns of hackle. This keeps the fibres mobile and creates a slim, natural-looking fly.Product FeaturesComplete natural partridge skinSoft, finely mottled natural feathersWide range of feather sizes and natural markingsIdeal for wet flies, soft hackles, spiders and nymphsExcellent for trout and grayling fly patternsConvenient feather selection and storageColour: NaturalPlease note: As this is a natural product, skin size, feather markings and colour shades may vary.
