Tungsten Beads for Jig-Style Nymphs
Tungsten Off Center Beads combine additional weight with a unique hook-up riding position for your hand-tied nymphs. Unlike conventional tungsten beads, the hole for the hook shank is positioned off center, shifting the fly's center of gravity.
In the water, this helps the nymph ride in a jig-style, hook-point-up position. Keeping the hook point away from rocks and other obstacles helps reduce snagging when fishing nymphs close to the bottom.
More Weight in a Compact Bead
Tungsten's high density makes it an excellent material for adding weight to flies. The special shape of the Off Center Beads provides another advantage. At a comparable size, Off Beads are approximately 25% heavier than conventional tungsten beads.
This additional weight helps your nymph reach the desired depth quickly without requiring an unnecessarily large bead. They are an excellent choice for deep nymphing, Euro Nymphing and fishing in fast currents.
