Product information "Backing 20 lbs (orange) 100 yds"
There are times when a fluorescent coloured backing is a great advantage. It is essential, especially when fighting very large species, to be able to track the path of a running fish. A coloured fluorescent backing helps you to do this. This is not only true for saltwater fly fishing, it also applies to Salmon, Pike, Steelhead and large Trout. A new production process has allowed us to produce a backing that, even when loaded tightly onto the spool, doesn‘t cut into the backing beneath it forming a weak spot. Fly rodders have praised good backing on many occasions, after all, on the day of the big catch a weak backing is the last thing you need!
Length: 100 yds (91 m)

Slotted Tungsten Beads (metallic light pink)
Slotted Tungsten Beads for Fly TyingTRAUN RIVER Slotted Tungsten Beads provide effective weight for nymphs, jig nymphs and other weighted fly patterns. The precision slot makes the beads easy to slide onto a wide range of fly hooks and jig hooks.Tungsten has a high density, allowing fly tyers to add considerable weight in a compact size. This helps your nymphs reach the desired fishing depth quickly without requiring an oversized bead.Ideal for Nymphs and Jig HooksThe slotted design provides greater versatility than a conventional round-hole bead. It is particularly useful when tying modern jig nymphs, making it easier to fit the tungsten bead onto curved and angled jig hooks. This makes Slotted Tungsten Beads an excellent choice for Euro Nymphing, Czech Nymphing and traditional nymph fishing.Choose the bead diameter according to the desired fly size and sink rate. Larger tungsten beads help heavy nymphs reach deep pools and fast currents quickly. Smaller beads allow you to tie subtle, compact nymph patterns while still adding substantial weight.Slotted Tungsten Beads - Key FeaturesHigh-density tungsten for fast-sinking nymphsSlotted design for easy hook installationExcellent choice for jig hooksHigh weight in a compact sizeSuitable for jig nymphs and traditional nymph patternsIdeal for Euro Nymphing and Czech NymphingMultiple sizes for different hook sizes and sink ratesColor: Metallic Light PinkTungsten Bead and Hook Size GuideDiameter BeadsHook sizes2.8 mm#12 to #163.3 mm#10 to #143.8 mm#8 to #124.6 mm#6 to #125.5 mm#4 to #8These recommendations provide a useful starting point.
