Many products on the market are called Amadou, but only a complex processing method creates this TRAUN RIVER amadou with consistent quality. The base material, natural tinder fungus, is carefully prepared, then mounted on high-quality leather and finished with a practical D-ring. The de Luxe version is a bigger and has an extra thick fungus for higher moisture absorption.

Amadou is used to dry wet and slime-covered flies.
When false casting is no longer enough to dry your fly, especially CDC patterns, place it between the two sides of the amadou and press gently. The material draws out moisture immediately. Your fly regains its buoyancy and floats again as intended.
If slime from a previously hooked fish remains on the fly, rinse it in water before using the amadou. This keeps the material clean and effective.

Damit wird es fast unsichtbar. Es ist UV-beständig und vor Alterungserscheinungen weitgehend geschützt. Da das spezifische Gewicht von Fluorocarbon höher als das von Nylon ist, sinkt das Fluorocarbonmaterial schneller als Nylon. Das hilft beim Nymphen- und Streamerfischen, weil Sie Ihre Fliege schneller auf Tiefe bringen.
