Many products on the market are called Amadou, but only a complex processing method creates this TRAUN RIVER amadou with consistent quality. Amadou is used to dry wet and slime-covered flies.

When false casting is no longer enough to dry your fly, especially CDC patterns, place it between the two sides of the amadou and press gently. The material draws out moisture immediately. Your fly regains its buoyancy and floats again as intended.

If slime from a previously hooked fish remains on the fly, rinse it in water before using the amadou. This keeps the material clean and effective.
