Beide Phasen bringen fischereiliche Höhepunkte, denn das auffällige Leben am Wasserspiegel ist ein Reiz, dem Fische selten widerstehen. Im Frühsommer schlüpfen Köcherfliegen, bedingt durch die dann günsti- geren Luft- und Wassertemperaturen, vorwiegend in den Mittagsstunden. Im Hochsommer verlagert sich die Emergenz in den frühen Morgen und vor allem in die Abend- und Nachtstunden, in denen auch Laichflug und Eiablage stattfinden.
