The Gamakatsu F314 is one of the most famous Gamakatsu fly hooks for predator and sea trout fishing. In the smaller sizes (# 4-8) it is one of the best sea trout hooks for shrimp patterns. Almost every sea trout fly tyer has this hook in his arsenal. The large hook bend and the hook tip pointing upwards ensure best hooking properties. The ratio of stability to weight is excellent. It's a great, slightly snappy hook.
In sizes # 2, 2/0 and 1/0 it is a perfect pike, zander, pike and perch hooks. It is also ideal for Popper.
In sizes # 2 and 4, it can be used ideally as a second hook for two-piece pike streamer.
