Product information "ELITE Metered Shooting Line (20 lbs)"

RIO’s Metered shooting line is the ultimate shooting line; packed with features that result in long casts, greater hookups and more efficient fishing. The low stretch core provides enhanced detection of takes, more positive hook sets, and far greater control when playing a fish. In addition, the line features RIO's "RangeFinder" system, with a color change every 10ft making it easy for anglers to gauge how far each cast is, and consistently fish through a pool. A short front taper stabilizes the cast and ensures maximum distance and flight time, while large welded loops on each end allow for fast rigging changes. In addition, this line is built with SlickCast, creating the slickest, most durable coating on the market—producing the least amount of friction ever measured in a fly line.

Danner Foot Tractor (Sticky Rubber)

Before we could build the best wading boots ever made, we had to define the word “best.” After much collaboration with our designers, ambassadors and anglers from around the world, not to mention countless hours of in-the-water research, here’s what we came up with: The best wading boots need to be ultra-comfortable and supportive for long days in heavy water. They should grip subsurface terrain, muddy trails and the occasional cross-stream log. They must drain quickly and avoid holding excess water. And on top of being tough as nails, they need a lifetime measured in decades. Finally, as we all agreed, not looking like Frankenstein boots would be a plus. Once we knew exactly what we wanted, the world-renowned Danner Boots came into the frame. We combined our fly-fishing experience with Danner’s legendary quality and craftsmanship to create a wading boot beyond all others—each one proudly made by hand (with imported parts) in Portland, Oregon. Their flexible, waterproof full-grain leather provides foot-conforming comfort, support and protection, while stitch-down construction creates a wide, stable base that’s easily resoled when the need arises. The adjustable lacing system has traditional eyelets across the forefoot and speed lacing through the ankle; the speed lacing provides easy tightening, supports the ankle when wading on uneven surfaces and helps lock the heel in place. And speaking of soles, when we say “sticky rubber,” we mean sticky, as in Vibram® Idrogrip, which compresses into the natural nooks and crannies of submerged rock for serious grip. They’re the best boots we’ve ever made, and we believe they’re the last ones you’ll ever need to buy. Soles accept studs for additional traction. Please note: one set of screwable spikes is included with theses Danner boots. Features: Waterproof full-grain leather treated with a PFC-free saline solution tanning process for improved resistance to breakdown, even in salt water; the leather can be reconditioned as necessary Tough 1,000-denier nylon paneling provides excellent abrasion resistance Upper is stitched to 5mm rubber midsole for stability underfoot; a second, lower midsole is made from water-resistant polyether polyurethane that adds additional comfort and support Adjustable lacing system has traditional eyelets across the forefoot and speed lacing through the ankle; the speed lacing provides easy tightening, supports the ankle and helps lock the heel in place Perforated drains on both sides of boot upper clear water quickly; for faster dry times, upper design is free from unnecessary foams and backer Stitch-down construction creates a wider platform for more stability, helps protect the boot sidewall and allows the boots to be resoled by Danner Vibram® Idrogrip sole compound specially developed for maximum grip on wet surfaces; the sole offers great all-around traction for long approaches and mixed streambed footing such as rock, gravel and mud Upper: full-grain leather with 1,000-denier 100% nylon paneling. Spey R8 Fly Rod

Be it Steelhead, Atlantic Salmon, King Salmon, or Sea-Run Brown Trout; Skagit, Scandi or Traditional lines; SPEY R8 rods capitalize on each cast, increasing the likelihood of the almighty moment that we all are devoted to. Introducing SPEY R8. SPEY SPECIFIC / FAST ACTION / FINE-TUNED An effective Spey cast is dependent on efficient transfers of energy in each of its three key components: the Lift, Load, and Delivery. Utilizing our proprietary Revolution 8 graphite technology along the full length of double-handed rod tapers results in a blank with an unmatched ability to capture and carry power, plus exceptional tracking. Energy produced during the cast and applied directly to the rod are transmitted entirely into the line, so Spey casters aren’t required to compensate for lost energy or imprecise rod reactions. With SPEY R8, casts are smooth, instinctual, and consistent. Lift - Adequate stiffness, power, and responsiveness paired with light weight ensure no efforts are wasted and fatigue is minimum when lifting long or heavy heads, sink tips and flies. Load - R8 Technology maximizes the amount of energy collected in sweep or touch-and-go moves, carries it into the D-Loop, and transfers it smoothly into the rod. Deliver - Responsiveness and tracking abilities of R8 Technology diminish lost energy and reduce lateral movements upon the forward stroke, increasing power and accuracy. FINE-TUNED ACTIONSIn designing our new SPEY R8 rods, we recognized there isn’t a single rod action appropriate for the wide variety of Spey fishing applications found around the globe. We identified four distinct Spey rod applications, each with its own unique set of requirements. This new approach matches rod action to application, ensuring anglers have the most fine-tuned Spey rod for their fishing. Across the family, our Revolution 8 Technology ensures a remarkably smooth and intuitive feel, no matter the line configuration. While the SPEY R8 family’s performance is a culmination of our most-advanced material technology, blank designs, and rod weight-length configurations to date, we’ve chosen the aesthetics as a nod to our deep Spey rod history, the pioneers of this niche within fly fishing, and of course, the anadromous fish themselves. Every detail is a thoughtful mix of functional intention and traditional looks. The overall look feels fresh yet familiar, is distinctively Sage, and inspires you to pick up the rods and fish them.Blank Color - Rich and warm, Ale colored blanks paired with black and gold trim wraps signify the meeting of history, culture, and innovation.Wood Reel Seat - A traditional deep walnut insert paired with Granite machined aluminum componentry follows a classic theme and is complementary to the Ale blank color.Cork Handles - Excels in the majority of Spey fishing situations and are best suited to handling a mix of line types and casting styles. Ambassador Blitz Fly Line

DELIVER BIG FLIES QUICKLY TO POWERFUL, FAST-MOVING FISH WITH WIND-CUTTING EFFICIENCY AND MINIMAL FALSE CASTSThe Blitz line’s short, 26-foot head enables the fastest possible delivery and easy shooting. An extended handling section behind the head allows the angler to carry more line for greater accuracy on long cast and easier pickups for second shots. The idea was inspired by chasing albies in the mid- Atlantic, but the Blitz line will be right at home in any fishery where speed counts in order to get a fly in front of fast-moving, feeding fish.- Unique 26-foot short head taper keeps false casts to a minimum- Extended handling section for greater accuracy on long casts and easier pickups on second shots- Multi-Density Control maintains a straight line connection to fly" Blitzes are brief surface feeding chaos and the RIO Blitz Line is like using the drive through window at a fast food joint. The short, heavy head loads the rod quickly, so the fly gets delivered with minimal false casting and an improved thicker running line makes retrieving and recasting a dream. The Blitz Line is not some one trick pony. It can deliver big nasty flies into tight cover or reachout with long probing casts. This taper and running line setup is also good for beginning casters, because the rod loads easily with less false casting."- Brian Horsley / RIO Ambassador
