Water Review: Deutsche Traun "Hochberg"

We are pleased to be able to offer fly fishing on the Deutschen Traun „Hochberg“ section, starting at the „Spitz Au“ where the Weiße and Rote Traun join together to form the Deutsche Traun, this pristine section of the river flows along the foot of the Hochberg and holds beautiful Trout and Grayling.
Set amongst the gorgeous Chiemgau Alpine landscape between Siegsdorf and Traunstein, the river offers you the chance to enjoy your passion for fly fishing to the fullest. The river is approximately 20 meters in width with alternate slow and fast flowing sections, interlaced with deep, well stocked pools. Excellent dry fly and nymph fishing is to be had here and, with a little luck and skill, you can land a trophy fish.
Fishing with jigs, streamers, bread or bread flies is prohibited. Chest waders must be rolled down to waist height (hip waders and wading boots are allowed). It goes without saying that only barbless hooks and fly rods are allowed. Please reserve a licence in due time! We are looking forward to you catching your trophy fish!
