Traun River Fluorescent Backing
There are times when a fluorescent coloured backing is a great advantage. It is essential, especially when drilling very large species, to be able to track the path of a running fish. A coloured fluorescent backing helps you to do this.This is not only true for saltwater fly fishing, it also applies to Salmon, Pike, Steelhead and large Trout.
A new production process has allowed us to produce a backing that, even when loaded tightly onto the spool, doesn't cut into the backing beneath it forming a weak spot.
Fly rodders have praised good backing on many occasions, after all, on the day of the big catch a weak backing is the last thing you need!
